Momentos Mágicos

This mural was created in collaboration with Mitch Durette (manager of Tinfoil (later Flask)) as a community effort to transform a frequently vandalized corner into a meaningful neighborhood landmark.

At the time, Highland Park was undergoing rapid change. Having spent nearly a decade working in the area, I wanted the piece to honor not only the new energy reshaping the neighborhood but also the deep roots and resilience of the community that had long called it home. I spoke with local patrons about what Highland Park meant to them, and their stories became the foundation of the work—a reflection of both continuity and transformation, painted with respect for its people and their history.
