Oil Paintings

When I was growing up, we lived in a duplex home. Our upstairs neighbor would teach oil painting classes. I learned how to paint before I learned how to write. However, we moved out from that place when I was 8 and I never again touched oils until a few years ago. For some reason they intimidated me. I had by then acquired quite a collection of acrylic supplies and it felt like yet another investement. I try to keep the amounts of tubes to a minimum. I mostly paint with 1980 Gamblin series... and that's it. I'm a newby but I love it.
