Acrylic Paintings.
Since moving from Uruguay in the early 2000s, I’ve been based on the East Side of Los Angeles, mostly in City Terrace — where many of these paintings were created. I started out painting on cardboard, and as my budget grew, so did the size and ambition of my work.
Some of these pieces are part of larger series, but here I'm presenting them as standalone works. Color plays a central role in my process. I’ve always been sensitive to the way color in a room or space can shape my mood. Instead of building from limited palettes to more complex ones, I’ve been exploring the reverse — stripping color down to its essentials, letting each tone speak for itself.
